The Wranglers were a minor league baseball team based in Wichita, Kansas that played in the Texas League as the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's San Diego Padres from 1987 to 1994 and the Kansas City Royals from 1995 to 2007.
The team gained passionate support from local baseball fans when Bob Rich of Buffalo, New York purchased the Wichita Pilots and rebranded them as the Wranglers prior to the 1989 season. Playing their home games at Wichita's Lawrence-Dumont Stadium, built in 1934 and renovated for the second time in 2001, the Wranglers became a fixture of the city's sports scene for nearly two decades. During their impressive run, the Wranglers won the Texas League Championship in 1992 and 1999, and helped develop several notable future major leaguers, including Johnny Damon, who won the Texas League Player of the Year Award in 1995, and Alex Gordon, who won the award in 2006. After years of service to the community, long-time owners Bob & Mindy Rich moved the club to Springdale, Arkansas after the 2007 season, where the franchise is now known as the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.
Our reproduction features the team's iconic logo with an authentically distressed, cracked, vintage feel that honors the original design while giving it that perfectly worn-in look of a treasured game-day shirt from the '90s and 2000s.
