The Texans were a minor league basketball team in the Continental Basketball Association from 1988 to 1994 based in Wichita Falls, Texas, playing their games at D.L. Ligon Coliseum on the campus of Midwestern State University.
The team gained popularity among local basketball fans under the ownership of Lanham Lyne, with distinctive team colors of navy, fluorescent pink & fluorescent green that made their merchandise instantly recognizable. The highlight of the franchise came when the Texans won the CBA championship in 1991, defeating the Quad City Thunder in a thrilling seven-game series.
