Britishvolt T-Shirt - EV Battery Industry Bankrupt Logo Tee

Wear a piece of British electric vehicle battery ambitions. Britishvolt was a UK startup planning to build a massive electric vehicle battery gigafactory to serve Britain's automotive industry. The company promised to establish domestic battery production capacity critical for the UK's EV transition, securing government support and high-profile partnerships with automotive manufacturers while raising hundreds of millions to build a £3.8 billion factory in Northumberland that would employ thousands.

Despite government backing and ambitious plans, Britishvolt became a spectacular failure before producing a single battery. The company never secured adequate private funding to match government commitments, automotive partnerships collapsed as automakers lost confidence in delivery timelines, management turmoil and executive departures plagued operations, the Northumberland site remained an empty field despite years of promises, cash burned rapidly on planning and overhead without meaningful progress toward production, and fundamental questions about whether the startup could compete against established Asian battery giants proved insurmountable. Britishvolt entered administration in 2023 having achieved nothing, embarrassing UK industrial policy.

This tee features the Britishvolt logo with a distressed, cracked vintage aesthetic that marks this British battery manufacturing failure.

Product Features:

  • Premium Gildan 5000 heavy cotton (5.3 oz, 100% preshrunk cotton)
  • Classic unisex fit, available in sizes S-5XL
  • Multiple popular colors available
  • Front-printed logo with vintage distressed design
  • Blank back
  • Tear-away label for comfort
  • Advanced direct-to-garment printing for lasting quality

Perfect for EV industry observers, UK manufacturing advocates, battery technology enthusiasts, or anyone who watched Britishvolt burn through hundreds of millions without producing a single battery cell.
