By the mid-2000s, declining attendance and increasing operational costs made the franchise financially unsustainable in Ottawa. Following the 2007 season, the team relocated to Allentown, Pennsylvania, becoming the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, ending a 15-year chapter in Canadian baseball history.
